Ski Chalet

Warmth in Winter

When completed this ski Lodge was listed at 13 million, sitting atop a mountain with ski-in and ski-out amenities. The lodge was designed with a separate bunkhouse for the kids/teenagers. It had its own bathroom, wood-burning stove, a TV/Game station installed in each bunk, and a custom barn door. The main house was done to the highest level of finishes, with most items being custom-designed to have multiple purposes.  The master bedroom had an entry room with a breakfast bar area that opened onto views of the surrounding ski slopes. The large master bathroom had a handmade stacked stone fireplace next to the tub and a huge walk-in steam shower. The vanity was designed with book-matched veneers with a custom stone counter. Custom pocket doors made of leaded glass were added for privacy with drapery between the bath and bedroom. The Master bed was a custom replica of a much smaller antique Victorian upholstered in a pale blue and grey Chinoiserie fabric. A deep window seat was upholstered for an additional area for lounging. In the living room, two huge fireplaces mirrored each other on opposite ends of the great room. Warm autumn hues were selected for all soft furnishings. Mercury mirror panels were added to a custom cabinet housing the A/V equipment. A bar was built, concealed inside a large cabinet with refrigeration, icemaker, and stone counters. The kitchen was designed in an open plan with black cabinetry and a honey onyx backsplash. The guest rooms were designed to have their own privacy away from the main area, each designed with en-suites, fireplaces, breakfast bar with refrigeration, coffee makers, and all concealed behind cabinet doors.  All details of this home were thought out and planned for guests to come and go in a luxury environment.
